Training & Education Requirements At least a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Know a Foreign Language (preferred) There are two phases of training before becoming an FBI Agent When you get to Phase 11 you go to the FBI Training Academy

Phase 1 Training Phase 1 training is basically a personality test Personality Test Interview Long Detailed Application Physical Training

Phase 11 This is where it gets real! Polygraph Test Drug Test Background Check Conditional Appointment Physical Exam Credit Check Physiological Testing

Work Environment Being an FBI Agent can be stressful Sit in meetings for more than a day Write lots of reports (office) Investigate Crime Scenes (outside world) Go to peoples houses and ask them questions (outside world) Work in the Local FBI Headquarters Or Bureau Office.

Salary, and Job Outlook A rookie FBI Agent (such as me) would probably receive 53,000-70,000 dollars a year From Being a Field agent to a special agent would take lots of ranking up. Like being a group director and then being a unit leader and then much more. The Labor Statistics Department believes this job will grow rapidly in upcoming years as the population of the world gets bigger.

Closing Reflection I have wanted to be an FBI Agent since I was 6 years old. Something about law enforcement work thrills me. I've learned a lot about this career. You have to do lots of training and you might even have to move to another city or state. I still want to pursue this career. I feel that if you really want to do something you will go anywhere or do anything to fulfill that want.
