20
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM Unpacking the Framework The ICT Mentor Framework will essentially guide the work of the ICT Mentors. That’s a BIG IDEA! It prompts an ESSENTIAL QUESTION…
21
TASKMini Project-Part A Leadership and Support: Unpacking the Framework Your job is to develop a guide or supporting materials for your mentors so they can understand the framework – You have permission to adapt the framework providing you provide adequate rationale for doing so. In interdisciplinary groups of 2 or 3, conduct an analysis on how the elements within the framework work together – How are they alike or different? What will you need to create in order for them to understand how to use it? Are there redundancies that can be eliminated? You will have 30 minutes to create a map for the framework based upon that analysis.
22
TASK Mini Project-Part B Leadership and Support: Unpacking the Framework Perform a Gallery Walk and 1. provide feedback 2. ask questions to deepen understanding After the walk review your feedback and discuss.
23
TASK Mini Project-Part C Leadership and Support: Unpacking the Framework Now, merge two groups together and blend feedback to create a guiding document for the framework. It needs to be something that mentors and teachers will understand and find useful.
24
2:45 PM – 5:15 PM School Leadership Resource Development Group Presentations of Guiding Documents Building Resources for Today’s Learning
25
TASKMini Project Leadership and Support: Unpacking the Framework Upon group consensus half of the teams will continue to refine framework resources. A list of needed resources will be generated upon completion of the presentations. The other half of the teams will develop presentation materials for mentors to use with school leaders and fellow teachers to inform them of the goals of the program and how they plan to benefit from its implementation. Presentations or works will be shared at the beginning of Day two activities as a recap and reflection of what we learned on Day one.
26
5:00 PM – 5:15 PM Wrap Up and Reflection Sign up for Web 2.0 Learning Groups for Day 2 Morning Sessions Before you leave, use your reflection wheel and write some brief notes as to the three most significant things you learned today, and drop any suggestions you have for the presenters into the suggestion box.
