Common Noun: is a general name for a person, place, thing, or idea
Common Noun Examples: leader, forest, mountain Proper Noun: is the name of a particular person, place, thing, or idea. Proper nouns are always capitalized. Proper Noun Examples : Sequoya, Giant Forest, Mount Whitney

Abstract: names an idea, feeling, quality, or characteristic
Examples: happiness, beauty, freedom, humor, and greed Concrete: names a thing that can be seen, heard, smelled, touched, or tasted. Example: rainbow, thunder, feather, blueberry

Collective Noun: is a word that names a group of people or things.
Examples: class, crowd, family, staff, trio, and team
