Impact on Students/Implementation Tips Piloting the Smarter Balanced Online Exams Multi-step, in-depth, problem practice: Must build up their intellectual stamina Tech skills: they can text, but can they type? Test-Specific skills: Not all students have them. Not all teachers have them. Test Directions need to be taught/shown to both. There are helpful instructions on the screen, but they are hidden, not obvious.

Math 6, Math 7, Accelerated Math 7, Math 8, HS Math 1, HS Math 2? Placement Issues: Transition Year and the Algebra Problem Parent Educaton: Get out in front of it with Parent Meetings because change creates worry and lots of questions
