Roma are also known as the Gypsies, Rom, Rroma, Cigano, Tsigani… 12 M all over the world – the miority in the Eastern Europe (Romunia, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia…)

19 - 20th centuries: some emigrated from Europe to the US and Canada, 1941: Nazi Holocaust – they were declared to be “subhumans” (kill all Jews, Gypsies and mental patiens) ↓ Today they are prime target of neo- Nazis and skinheads.

Gypsies kids are made to sit in the back rows or sent to special – education classes, They continued to be viewed as criminals, Their fundamental rights are abused, ↓ Discrimination against Roma in employment, education, health care ↓ NEGATIVE STEREOTYPES ↓ THE MOST DEPRIVED ETHNIC GROUPS OF EUROPE
