Users can reset their own PICs via self help Web page. Supported devices Supported across select HP, Lexmark, and Xerox MFPs. Supported devices are updated periodically. See attached document for more details.

The information contained herein is subject to change without notice. 7 SQL based user/PIC management Stores user and PIC information in the HP Access Control SQL instance Still leverages LDAP / Active Directory for user attribute lookup Email address, sAMAccountName, etc. Does not require special LDAP / Active Directory account with write access SQL-based user information can be managed via the database user editor tab.

The information contained herein is subject to change without notice. 11 Configuring the MFP authentication agent Set print to use PIC Server as authentication means Match HP AC PIC Server function to correct device feature on the EWS Pre FutureSmart MFPs (PIC Server) FutureSmart MFPs (HPAC – IRM Server) FunctionDescription Local List MFP uses the user list that is created and uploaded via the User List Editor. PIC Server (pre FutureSmart) or HPAC – IRM server (FutureSmart) MFP uses Active Directory to locate users as configured in the AD Group Manager and AD User Editor areas.
