Rotary's 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to ‘Service Above Self’ Rotary’s main objective is service in the community, in the workplace and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 36,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the World, share a dedication to the ideal of ‘Service Above Self’

ROTARY CLUBS RRotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. IIn more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, you'll find members volunteering in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.

ROTARY FAMILY  T he family of Rotary extends beyond individual Rotarians and Rotary clubs to include other service-minded people who help with the organization's work.  Groups such as Rotaract, Interact and Rotary Community Corps serve side by side with sponsor clubs, using their diverse skills to improve the quality of life in their communities.

Creating Young Indian Ambassadors For World Peace

Rotary Youth Exchange is Rotary International Student Exchange Program. Since 1929, Rotary International has sent young people, around the globe to experience new cultures. About 9,000 students are sponsored by Rotary clubs every year.

Exchange Programs

LONG-term exchanges usually last one year, during which you attend school and live with families in your host country. To gain a greater Under- standing of the culture, you will live with at least two, preferably three, host families during your stay. To ensure your safety, the host Rotary club conscientiously screens and selects all host families.

Short-term exchanges vary in length from several days to several weeks. Although you generally would not attend school in the host country, you may be able to tailor the exchange to match your interests or to include tours of specific places or regions. The four most common types of short-term exchanges are home stays, tours, family-to-family, and international youth camps.

New Generations exchanges usually last from a few weeks to three months, making this a suitable option for recent secondary school graduates, young professionals, and Rotaractors. These exchanges may be arranged for individuals or groups and can involve home-stays, tours, or camps. Exchanges can also include a vocational element, and some districts offer specialized internships, depending on where your exchange takes place. New Generations exchanges provide the opportunity to learn about a different culture while fostering goodwill & understanding.
