1 WHAT THE GOVERNMENT THINKS YOU SHOULD EAT TO MAKE YOU HEALTHY By Dylan Harris, Grade 4

2 SUGAR= BAD TEETH AND BODY  T he government says that the normal person should eat 12 teaspoons a day unless you are in tip top condition. If you are, you can have 15 teaspoons a day.

3 MEAT OR PLANTS  The government thinks we should eat more plants and less meat, especially red meat. They think it has too much added sugar.

4 EGGS ARE EGGEPTED  Until 2015, the government said that too much chorestorel was bad for you and to eat only 2 eggs a day. Now, the government says to eat 3-6 eggs a day. Eggs are healthy and cholesterol is not important enough to cause harm to a person.

5 JUST 1 MORE CUP  The government says coffee is fine if you have 3-5 cups a day. If you drink more, you are addicted, unhealthy, don’t sleep, and need a doctor.

6 FISH AND SEAFOOD  The government says eating seafood is pretty healthy if you aren't having an allergic reaction.

8 SODA  The government says that you should not drink soda. It is sugary and so bad we have put a tax on it.

9 SCHOOL LUNCH  Please eat all things in your lunch. We have made it so that you have low calories and healthy stuff. Your lunch is perfectly healthy, say government officials.

10 BREAD  Bread is one of the oldest baked foods from 30,000 years ago in Europe.

11 HOW MANY SERVINGS Here is the food guide pyramid.

12 FAST FOOD  McDonalds is the only restaurant to make enough changes for it to be slightly healthy. A normal calorie count on one meal at Wendy’s or Burger King is half your daily calories.

13 FRUITS AND VEGGIES 2  You should have 2 cups of fruit a day and 4 cups of veggies.

14 SUPERMARKET  A supermarket a big form of a grocery store has many more choices for healthy food.

15 DESSERT  There are a wide variety of desserts including cakes, tarts, cookies, biscuits, pastries, ice creams, pies, puddings, and custards.

16 CHOCOLATE  Chocolate has become one of the most popular food types and flavors in the world.

17 PILLS  Today, pills include tablets and capsules. You should take pills for a sickness, but if it is something like vitamins, it is optional.
