EasyCleaner By Keith Johnstone

The Question: What does EasyCleaner do? EasyCleaner is a program designed by ToniArts. It is “safe” to use, but that is if you use it correct and are careful. (Note that NO registry cleaner is safe to use), but EasyCleaner is not a registry cleaner, it is n tool to delete unwanted “Stuff” (Icons, Temps, etc.) There are only one function in Easy Cleaner that does go into the registry, but only deletes Folders that points to no where.
3
Where of how to get EasyCleaner? Open Google (www.google.com.au) and type in the search bar EasyCleaner download.www.google.com.au Select the one that points to TonyArts site. Click on download and as soon as your download manager (a program used to download, windows has a build in one) starts save it to a place on your computer where you will know where to find it again.
4
How to install EasyCleaner? Go to the folder or place where you saved your download and double click on it. Follow the prompts As easy as that The installer will create a desktop icon as shown in the next slide
6
The first time you open EasyCleaner it will ask you to choose a language and then click Ok. How to open?
7
The first screen when you open the program When you open EasyCleaner the first screen will tell you what the program does, and if you want help you can press F1. When you scroll over a button on the first screen the program will show the basic purpose of that function of that button. The next screen shots will show the function of all of the buttons
8
If you look at the right coulum it shows the basic purpose of the button.
20
And if you made a mistake there are the undo button, beautiful, the button everybody loves

The next question: Why do I want to use this program? Well first, to be totally honest, if you don’t know why, you probably do not work a lot on a computer and don’t care a lot about your computer. Here is the reason, NO Anti Virus and Anti Spyware programs are 100% and does all the work for you, although this is not anything like a security program, this does the work those programs does not do. Most serious Viruses creates registry entries, any program installed and even WebPages is stored in the registry, and when the virus or program are removed, the registry entries are still in the registry.
27
This program removes the entries that points to no where. The next place that take up disk space and where most unwanted infections hide is the temp folder and the temporary internet files folder. This folders to be cleaned at LEAST once a week. This tool is a one click button that does this, saves time “Time is money” Next the history, this is not a serious thing, but is advised to be cleared once a month or so. Again one click button. Add/remove programs, windows has a similar feature, but this is so much nicer.
28
How many times does it happen that you don’t know what this shortcut does, and are to scared to remove it, this detects all the shortcuts that points no where, most programs when removed does not remove the shortcut. The unnecessary button finds all programs, temps, backups, etc. All programs the you don’t need, almost like disk clean up, just better. Space usage, to be honest, not the best, but still better than the windows one.
29
The start-up button, a must, almost like the one in msconfig, but better. This is a must, don’t you hate it when you restart you computer and it takes ages to load up, terrible. Example, on a new computer (as in out of the box new) there are at least 8 programs in the start-up that does not need to be there, imagine after a year how many there can be.
30
Now my personal favourite, the Duplicates button. Not to be used in general, but great to free up disk space. If you have music on an external or self on your own computer (C: drive) there are always duplicate songs, and this takes a lot of disk space, “example: a standard MP3 take about 3 to 5 MB”. If you have 5 folders with the same song(5MB) in them all, it makes the total of 20MB of unnecessary disk space, (and yes, I can do maths, 5 x 5 is 25, and not 20, but I don’t want to delete all 5 songs in all of the folders, I still want to keep one). The next few pages will show some screen shots of some of the features.

THE END Hope you will find this tool as useful as I did.
