1 Let’s Get Sheffield Working Campaign brought to you by Sheffield Newspapers

2 Introduction There were 2.45 million people unemployed in the UK by January 2010. Although the economic downturn has seen unemployment figures double locally, experts say the wheel is turning back towards recovery. The Star’s ‘Let’s Get Sheffield Working’ Campaign aims to aid this recovery; our local editorial content will be recruitment-focused sharing the region’s success stories with our readers. Our recruitment rates have been reduced for the duration of the campaign to offer a more cost-effective way of recruiting and promoting vacancies to our potential audience of 299,004 people* both in print and online, during these challenging times. *Source – JICREG Jan – June 09, Webtrends 9
