Podcasts What is a Podcast? It is similar to a TV, radio show, or other audio clips that people find on the internet. They are downloadable onto a “podcatcher”, or a free program on your computer. Podcasts make audio clips available at any time. You can also move the podcasts from your computer onto a portable device such as an iPod or mp3 player and can listen to them anywhere.

Podcasting Programs such as iTunes, Windows Sound Recorder, and various free online programs can create Podcasts. The overall theme of a Podcast is to share information, stories, lectures, and personal opinions. ▫Radio Stations such as NPR record all of their programs in order for people to listen to them on their own time. And the best part about Podcasting is that it’s FREE! Since it is widely available and almost everyone can make a Podcast, use caution regarding the content of certain Podcasts.
