Local support includes the continuation of a 7-mill tax worth: $1.6m annually for Florence City Schools $1.6m annually for Florence City Schools ($48m over 30 years) $2.7m annually for Lauderdale County $2.7m annually for Lauderdale County Schools ($81m over 30 years) Schools ($81m over 30 years)

4. It’s time to renew this 7-mill tax for local public schools. This is NOT a new tax! Tax was last renewed in 1981. Lauderdale County and Florence City students benefit. Money approved in the county stays in the county; money approved in the city stays in the city. Tax is good for 30 years.

5. All funds collected from this renewal will stay in the respective local school districts: Florence City Lauderdale County BOTH districts need “yes” votes!
