2 Journal 1/9 What is government? What’s its purpose? Choose one and defend: 1) The government should provide for the people 2) The government should protect the people 3) The government should provide ONLY what private citizens can not.

3 Lets make a class list… We are going to create a government; what questions do we need to ask in order to do so?

How do they get there? How long do they lead? 7) Who enforces the laws? 8) Who protects the people? 9) What’s the responsibility of the citizen?
