* 1. How many hours do you work per week? * Out of 15 responses 6 work over 50 hours per week; average of all responses was 49 hours (last time the average was 51 hours)

* 2. What is the first thing you do when you get to work? * Top response was read e-mail * Drink coffee/tea, Eat breakfast * Check in with staff, calendar

* 3. Do you take a daily lunch period away from your desk? * No, Not Daily, Rarely = 10 * Yes, Usually, Sometimes = 5

* 4. How much time do you spend doing job- related reading/professional development? * Weekly 4-5 hours = 9 * Weekly 1-2 hours = 5 * Weekly 30 minutes = 1

Suggestions for effective time management: * Discipline * Decide what you need to accomplish and stick to it * Devise a to-do list for the 24 hours in your day * Make planning a habit and set aside time to plan * Designate specific time slots for answering, sending, and following up on e-mail * After planning, determine the tasks you can delegate to someone else * Decide how long you will stay at work and leave at that time!
