SBA 7(a) – compliment to CDFI partner’s lending Larger loans up to $5 MM -> for-profit, operating companies Wide range of permissible uses -> real estate, equipment, permanent working capital, business acquisition, etc. Maximum rates are currently 6% floating and approximately 8% fixed and fully amortizing over the term Cash flow loans – minimum required DSC is 1.2 Benefits to borrower Inadequate collateral (don’t need to be fully collateralized) “Short” profitable operating history Longer term required to make the numbers “work”
