2 A former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Hugh Shelton, says in a new book that while Bill Clinton was in the White House, a key component of the president's nuclear launch protocol went missing. What apparently was missing was a card with code numbers on it that allows the president to access a briefcase -- called the "football" and kept by an aide always near the president -- containing instructions for launching a nuclear attack. All this happened very likely without Clinton's knowledge.

3 In Other News At least 135 people have died in a suspected cholera outbreak, and aid groups are rushing in medicine and other supplies Friday to combat Haiti's deadliest health problem since its devastating earthquake. Cholera is a waterborne bacterial infection spread through contaminated water. It causes severe diarrhea and vomiting that can lead to dehydration and death within hours. Treatment involves administering a salt and sugar- based rehydration serum. Phillies force a game 6. An elderly woman was removed from a plane at Denver International Airport Wednesday and questioned by police after she apparently made a joke. Passenger Laurie Hansen said a flight attendant told her when the lady handed her bag to the flight attendant she jokingly said, "Oh, be careful with my bag, it has a detonator in it.” The flight attendant told Hansen that another passenger made the statement "if that was me they would have thrown me off the plane," so they couldn't just ignore it because she was an older woman. The woman was interviewed by police then released and allowed to rebook her flight. A judge decides today if actress Lindsay Lohan will continue her drug rehab or go to jail again for violating her probation with a failed drug test.
