3. During the year in English Language Arts, we will… Focus on different forms of writing in different genres. We will write about personal narratives, expository essays, persuasive essays, poetry, do research and presentation and write an original story.

4. Students should bring everyday: ➢ Team Binder ➢ Agenda ➢ Composition Notebook (Writer’s Journal) ➢ Pencil or Pen (black or blue ink) ➢ A book to read silently Required Supplies for English Class

5. BYOD/Technology ■ Bring Your Own Device or Technology – Students are encouraged to bring their own devices to school. Students are responsible for keeping track of their own devices. ■ Remind - Our team will use this to send out reminders and information throughout the year. ■ Edmodo – This is a secure website that will be used for our classroom for blogging and posting assignments throughout the year. My group code will be available by the end of this week.

8. Tutorials/Make Up Work ■Students who miss class should check my website for missed assignments ■Tutorials are Tuesdays 7:45 am-8:10 am and Thursdays 3:30 pm-4:00 pm This is a great opportunity for me to help your child with anything they need to be successful in English class.
