warm up 4/2/13 If the New Deal didn’t fix the Great Depression, then why is it remembered as a significant government program? It gave people hope that the government was trying to help. It provided jobs and welfare for those needing it the most. It did great public work like parks, highways, electricity to rural areas. We still benefit today from some of the projects. We still have Social Security and banking insurance today.

Review work Read your 1920’s notes. Circle the music of the times. Box the group that went north during the Great Migration. Finally, write 3 possible test questions in the margins of your notes. (7 min) With your neighbor, quiz each other on the vocab words – all 8 of them (3 min) By yourself, read your red scare/immigrants chart notes in your notebook. If you don’t have them, read p. 624. (3 min)
