I cringed a bit yesterday when Admiral Ryan said the organic systems are power point capabilites (emphasis on capability) ---- but the systems are being developed with excellent progress !! Stay the course.

- Ironically, we are now (May ‘03) at the beginning of the D-30 process. OIF has probably changed the BG we’ll deploy with, but the process starts now … we must meet these timelines … must start now.
- This is the time-line we are keyed to.
- This is partly why I appreciate what VADM Grossenbacher said yesterday about staying focused on the plan ….

8. - You heard from Vito yesterday on the E2E Organic MCM assessment.
- One of the results of that was to build a MIW Roadmap that would show us how we:
- address the gaps identified in the E2E assessment
- transition to the Vision that Admiral Ryan showed us yesterday Including
LCS and unmanned systems
- BUT DO IT IN A WAY THAT DOESN’T DESTABLIZE THE
PROGRAMS !!!! Stay with a Plan !!!
- And as a bonus (!) …. how can we maximize the ability to use these MIW systems and unmanned systems for other missions (esp L-ASW and Small Boat Defense)
- There is a tremendous amount of detail that is behind this
