2 Note-Taking E.A. 5.1 Entry Task: Pick up a note taking handout from the podium. With your article on your desk start filling out the source citation and research questions.

3 Learning Targets Students will be exposed to quality literature and writing styles/show understanding from novel reading Students will be exposed to note taking strategies.

4 Springboard E.A. 5.1 Stakeholders (review the definition of stakeholder from poster) Handout Identify the stakeholders for your conflict

5 Homework Turn in: Note Taking Handout for Article 1 (last class) Note Taking Handout for Article 2 (today if completed) Stakeholder handout (if completed – due 2/27) Night paragraphs w/journal (if completed – 2/27) H/W finish writing Night paragraphs.

6 Exit Task Reflect on the learning targets for today. Do you feel you met the targets? Students will be exposed to other cultures and time periods, quality literature and effective/varied writing styles Students will begin to understand key facts that influenced and developed literature Students will write effectively in expository mode to examine/analysis a complex idea 1. What is one thing that you completed or learned today that you found interesting? 2. What is one thing that you feel you can improve in future classes? 3. What are the three choices for your project? List them in order of preference.
