The War of 1812
2
How this war began Started in stalemate, because British ships began to attack American trade ships. But came to an end with American Independence being confirmed and remembered. Although the was hasn’t been the most studied war in history it was still a very important stepping stone for America.
3
Impact that this war had on people The impact on people caused the Americans to adopt a sense of international respect for Britain. But in the end America had to develop a new way of producing cotton because of the coast being blocked off by the British causing no way of transportation to get cotton.
4
The second war of independence The wars main cause was “US resentment of British naval harassment.” The already existing feud between France and Britain continued as they took over the American ships as well as their men, (some of them were U.S. citizens.)
5
Importance to the country’s nationalism The Americans had developed a title of military threat after they held up against Britain. This left the rest of the world now not seeing America as the underdog country but an actual threat as a nation. It also encouraged the growth of industry all over the country.
