13. Why does EE make sense to a homeowner? Lowers their energy costs! Improves their comfort! Positions them for the unknowns and volatility of the future!

14. Where should a homeowner start?? Caulk & Weatherstrip! Seal holes and gaps! Install Compact Fluorescent Lamps! Insulate! Install a low flow showerhead and turn down the temperature setting on your water heater! Shut off your “plug loads” – (big screens, games, etc.) – use a power strip!!! Install a programmable thermostat – understand it and use it! Maintain your heating / cooling system (replace filters and have it “tuned up”) Evaluate the efficiency of your heating / cooling system (only after your house is weatherized and insulated!) Way down on the list is windows!!

15. Summary Energy Efficiency is a utilities lowest-cost future resource option – and we can do it today! It makes sense (and saves $) for our customers! We all can make a difference and can lead by example! Our world is changing! Many unknowns – but Energy Efficiency makes sense!!
