2 Presentations - visual guidelines This slide is generated as part of the Design Template and will help you to create a correctly branded presentation. “Hide” this slide so that it does not display as part of your presentation. Keep this slide within your presentation so that it can be referred to when updating or adding new slides. Inserting a new slide will create a blank formatted slide for you to use. Further guidance is available on the corporate communications Halnet site (see Design and Visual Standards). Font sizes, text boxes, logos and colours Halcrow logo: the logotype is reversed out of Halcrow blue background. All text should appear as white on the graded blue background. Fonts: the predominant font within the corporate presentation is Arial – with ranges from 12pt to 28pt. Bold may be used to highlight specific aspects. The font colour should be white. Larger/smaller font sizes may be used – however, the visual effect of these sizes should be considered. Accent colours should only be used for text when highlighting a specific message or element of the presentation. Bullet points: White or yellow (refer to accent colours below) may be used for bullet points. Please be consistent with the use of the bullet point colours throughout your presentation. Text boxes: by default text and graphic boxes are produced in a shade of Green (Match to accent colour Pantone 3272 – see below). Text boxes can have this colour removed (so there is “no fill”) or another accent colour may be chosen. The use of your chosen colour should be consistent throughout your presentation. Charts and diagrams: Charts and diagrams should be simple, clear and easily understood. Picture slides: for slides which include one large picture, copy and paste the graphic below to complete the image’s bottom margin. Accent colours: the palate of accent colours, their pantone number and RGB equivalent (Custom Colours in PowerPoint) are shown below. Special effects: Avoid the use of clip art. Animation should only be used to enhance presentations.
