2 1.Daughters of Liberty: J - urged American women to give up tea. 2.March 5, 1770: I - the Boston Massacre 3.George Greenville: K - British prime minister. 4.The Intolerable Acts: F - colonists’ name for the laws passed in 1774 that took away many of the Massachusetts colonists’ rights.

3 5.Samuel Adams: G - put up posters describing the Boston Massacre as a slaughter. 6.The Tea Act: B - passed by Parliament in 1773, it excused the East India Company from paying tea taxes. 7.Boston Committee of Correspondence: D - revived in 1772 by Samuel Adams. 8.King George III: C - vowed to punish Boston.

4 9.The Coercive Acts: H - passed by Parliament in 1774, they closed Boston Harbor, prohibited town meetings, and forced Bostonians to shelter soldiers in their homes. 10. Paul Revere: A - strengthened anti-British feelings with an engraving of the Boston Massacre. 11.Redcoats: E - acted rudely and sometimes violently toward the colonists. 12. December 16, 1773: L- the Boston Tea Party.

5 Many colonists were shocked by the Boston Tea Party. They could not believe that colonists broke the law and destroyed British property. Many thought that the Sons of Liberty went too far.
