4 Where Hong Kong stands - 60% PC penetration rate 50% Internet penetration rate Broadband network reaches all commercial buildings and over 95% of households One third of our households use broadband service Nearly 40% of our businesses use Internet in their operation

5 Over 2.6 million Internet accounts Internet services among cheapest in the world at less than –$1.6 per hour for dial-up –$200 per month for unlimited broadband usage External connectivity: 900 Gbps Where Hong Kong stands -

6 86% of people aged 15 or above use e-business services 85% of our population have mobile phones One of the first in Asia to introduce GPRS Over 8.5 million e-payment smart cards in circulation. Over 600, 000 citizens are online banking service users
