In Spanish I have learned these words: el globo (globe), el reloj (clock),la bandera (flag), la ventana (window),la pared (wall),el mapa (map), la tiza (chalk), la mesa (table), el borrador (eraser).I have also had a test about seasons and weather. I have learned lots of Spanish. I love Spanish! Its in the top 5. We are also learning mom and dad in Spanish and shapes like el circulo.

4. In Language Arts  I have learned about where a period go’s like A ball was hit across the yard. Exclamation marks are like go to your room now! Question marks are like did you forgot your lunch bag? we have learned about verbs, too. This is what verbs are : dive, swim, talk, eat, and play. I can also do cursive like : cursive, mom, dad, Vivian, Abby, Randy, Righter.  I also learned about antonyms (like first, last or empty, full) & synonyms are like small, tiny or sick, ill. We also learned about capitals like: Abby, Vivian, Randy. We learned adjectives. A adjective is like : blue, bright, many, colorful, dark, light, black, big, small, and ugly.  My Young Author story is about a girl named Abby and her 7 friends go in a portal to the future( 2051). They go on a adventure.

My Favorite Stories from Reading Class One of my favorite stories that I read this year was cliff hanger because a boy loves his dog so much that in lighting and thunder his dog was stuck on a cliff and the boy climbed a very hard cliff to get his dog. Another story I enjoyed was the hungry spider Because spider very very hungry and greedy one day a turtle was hungry and thirsty so spider let turtle in to eat with him spider did not like to have people over for dinner so spider tricked turtle into going to the pond to wash his feet and when turtle came back the food was gone because spider ate all of the food My Writing Sample

6. In Reading  As of April 15 th, I have 53 AR points.  My comprehension is 94 %.  My AR goal for the year is to reach 100 points.  In reading I have improved on taking hard longer books and checking out more hard book to read at home. This is getting me more points. I also improved on reading books by my self like at school I read a lot.  The best story or book I have read this year is the chocolate touch because a boy named John love chocolate so much the boy would rather have chocolate than good food like fruits. This boy learns his lesson the hard way. The story or book I liked the 2 best this year is the best older sister because it is about a brother that thinks his sister is perfect. he says that she does everything right and she is great at school. He finds that she is actually a great older sister ( the best older sister ).

9. In Social Studies  I learned about the French and Indian war. The French and Indian war is a war for Michigan. The French and most Michigan Indian vs. Great Britain and one Indian group. The French lost and got pushed out the unknown country and Indian got push around. The Indians were now in Canada or Kansas. We studied the independent from England :un fair taxes, Not repernment, no frontier settlement, colonist's dump tea, British send troops, war starts, America declares in dependence.

11. In Science  I learned about bones, muscles and other things like fruits veggies to feed to your mealworm that turns into a darkling beetle and I have a grown up mealworm my mealworm and lots of other mealworms feed on meal which is what they like to live in. Mealworms don’t eat carrots and apple( veggies and fruit) mealworms suck juice We studied sounds like a high pitch and a low pitch here is a example a high pitch is like a women screaming and a low pitch is like a mans voice. other things like the sun the moon and the earth I and my group the earth are group is called earth 2. We look at websites, books, and book on line. We also had a video about earth and a packet with facts about earth.We are still learning about earth. We have 2 more questions on another packet.

13. In Mathematics I learned that a odd × odd = odd like 9×9=81.We also learned even × even =even like12×12=144 and even × odd=even like 6×7=42. we also learned turns & angles ! Full turn is 360˚ a half turn is 180˚. We also learned counter clock wise which is left of 12:00 We studied × tabels like 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. We also studied % you know like 95% for they remind me of ˚ you use that when you say it is 90˚ out or something.

17. Strengths  One of my strengths is spelling I am proud of this because I’ve almost got all bonus words and almost all regal words right so far. I hope I get all the bonus words right forever.  Another of my strengths is art I am proud of this because I do really good art and it is so fun my art teachers name is Miss Cohen.  I am also good at D.O.L Because I always get a high grade for D.O.L. D.O.L is like when you use periods and commas.

18. My Goals… In the AR program I would like to have 100 points by the end of the year. I have 54 points right now and I think that is a lot. In A.R we get popcornes for every 10 points and once we get 40 points we get to go to a ice cream party. I need to never stop running on the mile run and go a little fast in P.E. P.E is really fun so it is my favorite special. In P.E we play games like ghost busters it is really fun in ghost busters 4 people are it and they try to tag you. I want to be better at music because I did not get a gold medal I wish I did get a gold medal. Music is fun because we get to sing and play interments.

19. April 21, 2010 Dear Mom and Dad, Thank you for coming to my conference today. I think in third grade I have learned a lot. I love third grade because very nice teacher, Miss Solomon. I also like math, reading, and science. In fact, I like everything. Love, Abby
