1 Basically everyone who was not a White British Man

2  We got to learn about all the people who tend to get written about in books  Who is in charge of the government?  What is happening to the Aboriginal groups?  Was Canada as good as advertised?

3  The people who tend to get less mention in textbooks  Textbooks have come a long way though  The elite have power, but are much fewer in number  To get a real idea of the time we need to experience the lives of other groups of people as well

5  Spiders are gross  There are many better things to eat  Not even guaranteed to win money

7  They knew they were going to throw up  After they threw up the first time, they tried again....and threw up  There are SO MANY other people doing these food challenges

8  What are some reasons why people do stunts like this?  How does our society view people who take part in dangerous activities?  Would you do something like this?

10  Turn to page 58 in your textbook so we can read a short section on Coffin Ships coming from Europe to North America

16  You are each going to read a small personal account about what life was like for a person of this time  Read through your article and after, write a letter home describing what your journey was like, and how life is for you in Canada
