An introduction.. CaLP has a range of digital platforms to share information and support coordination They are free to use and CaLP welcomes engagement from both country and regional cash working groups

CaLP website Purpose – to share information and resources related to Cash Transfer Programming (CTP) Key highlights – Links to all CaLP’s digital platforms Latest updates from both CaLP and the community of practice Regional updates – Asia pages Access to the training calendar Resource library – with approximately 500 resources related to cash transfer programming (guidelines, toolkits, presentations, case studies, research pieces)

CaLP website – regional pages CaLP has separate areas for each of the three regions it works in. Purpose – to display CWG activities for external actors to see and to encourage coordination - to share information about previous or upcoming meetings, as well as resources and useful links.

CaLP website – Regional and Country CWG pages The Asia homepage includes information about CaLP’s activities in the region as well as a set of useful links. The RCWG page is used to advertise the time, date and agenda of the next RCWG as well as presentations and minutes from the last meeting. The Country CWG pages are offered as a place for coordination for the country CWGs in the region.

2- Closed collaborative platform Purpose : an internal area for a CWG to use to share internal documents and aid coordination Key highlights - It is free and is managed by its users (CWG members). User management by CaLP (invitations) Types of resource that can be shared: Draft documents Internal documents (that cannot be shared publicly)

D-groups Purpose - The Discussion groups (or D-groups) are dynamic forums for CTP discussion and debate. Key highlights - There are over 1,000 members in the English forum They are an opportunity for members of the CTP community of practice to ask questions, discuss topics, learn about current issues and share resources across organisations and regions They are free to join and are not focused on CaLP but rather CTP in general There is also a French forum, as well as forums for CTP Jobs and Consultancies in English and French To sign up – send en email to digitalcomms@cashlearning.org

CaLP Newsletter Purpose – To provide a periodic update about CaLP and Cash Transfer Programming Key highlights – Sent on a quarterly basis Includes one / two feature articles on current CTP topics, updates from CaLP’s regions, highlights of latest resources added to the CaLP library and CTP in the news. Opportunity for members of the community of practice to write about a programme or theme. 4,000 recipients and growing. To sign up – send en email to digitalcomms@cashlearning.org

5 - The Cash Atlas Purpose – the Cash Atlas is a CTP mapping tool which can be used to : Advocate for a more appropriate usage of CTP Facilitate the exchange of information between agencies Enable agencies to monitor their activities in CTP Help identify potential partners Initial objectives

Cash Atlas Key highlights – Global, regional and project level data Contains information on: -Organisation -Modality -Delivery mechanism -Amount 710 projects 1060 users

Cash Atlas - Our vision A disaster strikes... Agencies consult the Cash Atlas to know who is operational and conduct joint market assessments If CTP is deemed appropriate with regard to market capacity and context, technical experts can quickly find relevant information: – Who does what, where – Partners (private sector, local NGOs) – Modalities and delivery mechanisms used – Lessons learnt from previous programmes

Cash Atlas - Opportunities for coordination If there is comprehensive data, the Cash Atlas can: – Help identify overlaps / gaps in humanitarian assistance – Support coordination between agencies and with local governments – Support coordination between HQ and the field

CaLP’s digital platforms - Summary CaLP’s digital platforms are designed to engage and be used by the CTP community of practice - that means you – to build CTP capacity, answer questions, share ideas and help advocate for CTP.

Summary - ways forward 1.Website: Regional and Country CWG pages – to visit, to identify appropriate resources / links to be added and provide regular updates 2.Closed collaborative platform: assess relevance of such a platform for the Regional or Country CWGs 3.Cash Atlas: explore opportunities to collect standardised information on cash transfers
