The Interface

Start Conversation In order to start conversation: Right-Click on the participant’s icon and choose “Start Conversation”. Or Double-Click on the participant's icon.

Speaking In Class One can mute his microphone by clicking once on the “mute” button. In this mode, the microphone will only work while holding down the Ctrl key.

Adjusting participant volume It is possible to adjust a participant’s Microphone/Speaker volume once he has speaking rights. Right-click on the participant’s icon and choose “Adjust participant’s…”.

Polls In order to run a poll, open the “Polls” tab, there are two types of polls: Yes/No poll. OK poll. After a participant answers the poll, his answer is indicated above his icon.

Yes/No Poll The teacher can share the results of the poll with the other participants inside the class (on the whiteboard) Note that the poll window will pop-up for the teacher as well. To end a poll, click again on the button. When a poll ends, the pop-up window will disappear for all participants, whether they answered or not.

Yes/No Poll In order to clear participant’s answers, right click on the background of the participants window. Clear Responses.

Drawing Toolbar – Tips It is very important to use the pointing tool while reviewing slides. The use of color is very helpful for illustration. It is possible to clear the whiteboard at any moment.

It is possible to send a note to participants inside the class. Both teacher and students are able to send notes to any of the participants. Sending Notes

There are two ways to view Notes: -Inbox Style -Chat Style Reading Notes

When receiving a note, an audio notification will be heard. Also, the “Notes” tab will flicker When in “Inbox” Style, we’ll be able to view the content of notes by clicking on the “Notes” tab and choosing the name of the sender. Reading Notes – Inbox Style

An incoming note will appear in a “pop-up” window with the option to reply. In addition, inside the “notes” tab, we will be able to review notes with an option to reply. Reading Notes – Chat Style

Save Notes In “Chat” style we will be able to save all notes history. To do so, go to the “File” menu and choose “Save Notes”.

Sound Definitions Unlocking the microphone is available using the following button While the microphone is unlocked, the icon will appear like this Volume buttons are available at the top right end of the application In order to set microphone sensitivity, use the arrows

Opening materials In order to open a slide/picture/movie Etc. Double click on it.

Adding materials while in class Using the “Insert” button, we can import materials while in class. Note: materials added while in class will not be shown at the lesson’s recording

A participant that will enter a class after additional materials where inserted, will not see them showing on the whiteboard. In this case it is recommended to reinsert the materials under a new name. The “Insert” button is available only to the main teacher (the scheduled teacher for the class). While downloading the new materials, a participant’s icon will appear as: Adding materials while in class

Saving the whiteboard While in class, in order to save the whiteboard, choose the file menu, and click on “Save Whiteboard Contents…” This option is also available for participants

Using a WebCam In order to use the webcam, open the “Audio/Video” menu, and choose: “Start sending my video”.

First use of the webcam Click “Yes” when prompted with the popping settings window. Change the default resolution to 176x144 Click “OK” to finish

Browsing on the whiteboard Click the “Web” tab Type an address Click “Go” to open the website

The website will be displayed for all participants While opening the website, a participant’s icon will appear as: Browsing on the whiteboard

The are two display modes: 1.Allow annotations - the website will be displayed as a background picture. 2.Follow links when clicked (default): Browsing on the whiteboard the website will open as is. Links and other features of the website will be available,

To share an application, click the “App Sharing” tab, choose an application from the list (all running applications) and click “Start Sharing” Application sharing

At the top of the shared application, the following toolbar will appear: While sharing an application, you can control participant’s speaking rights as well as giving a participant permission to control the shared application.

Emoticons All participant (including the teacher) can use emoticons in the class. In order to do so, click the arrow on the right to the raise hand button.

Cleaning emoticons In order to clean all shown emotions, right click at the background of the participants window and choose “Clear” ”Emoticons”

Audio setup wizard Performing an audio check is crucial before the beginning of a lesson. From the Audio/Video menu, choose “Audio Setup Wizard”

Tips for online lessons Please raise your hand if you have a question. If everything is clear please click “yes”. Speak in a clear voice.

Presenting rights Only one teacher in a class can have the presenting rights. In order to give them to another teacher, Right click a name and choose “Give presenting rights”

The scheduled moderator of an event can also take presenting rights. In order to take presenting rights, right click on the teacher holding the presenting rights, and choose “Take Presenting Rights” Presenting rights
