2 Apparel Export Promotion Council Incorporated in1978, AEPC is the official body of apparel exporters in India that provides invaluable assistance to Indian exporters as well as importers/international buyers who choose India as their preferred sourcing destination for garments.

5 Export Performance Certificate Council is issuing EPC to manufacturer exporters and merchant exporters for duty free import of Trimming & embellishments On basis of FOB value of garments exported & realized during the precesding financial year

6 Certificate of Origin The certificate of origin are issued to the members of AEPC. Council is certifying more than one thousand of origin during the year

7 Market Development Assistance (MDA) The MDA work is handled by council for its members who participate in approved fairs and exhibitions as per the norms foxed by ministry of commerce.

8 Market Access Initiative (MAI) The council helps in availing financial assistance to its members under MAI scheme of Ministry of Commerce. AEPS has ensured funds to visits fairs like: Magic Fair – Las Vegas, US Hong Kong Fashion Week – Hong Kong London Garment Expo - UK

9 Exporter’s facilitation cell Separate cell has been set up at head office to assist registered and member exporter of the council in the matter of procedural problems. The matters that can be addressed to facilitation cell are:  Delay in duty draw back  Delay in Export Shipments/Import Shipents  MDA and other related issues.

10 Apparel Training and Designing center The Institute for Apparel Management is an higher education initiative of AEPC. Provider various UG and PG programs. AIM aims at training the next generation of Design Managers, Digital Merchandiser, Apparel Technocrats with hands on Exposure on latest “digital platforms” in substantial numbers.

11 AEPC CSR Initiative AEPC formed a society called AEPC Rural Development and Labor Welfare Foundation for Rural Development of area having Garment Cluster. It undertook projects such as Rehabilitation of different abled person, Training of Women & Children, training of various students etc.

12 Steps Taken to assist Exporters  Collecting cost data on garments and and providing it to govt for fixing duty drawback.  Establishing contracts with the prospective buyer to generate their interest in buying from India.  Conducting market survey and provide market intelligence  Exploring new market and identifying items of export potential.  Sponsoring trade delegation, sales-cum-study tours abroad.

13 Steps Taken to assist Exporters  Developing new market for existing products  Helping in product development in product modification to suit the needs of different market  Coordinating with various government agencies / departments with regard to export promotion programs.

14 How to Become Member Documents Required A SELF certified copy of IEC number An undertaking on non-judicial stamp paper duly notarized A self attested coly of Memorandum of Association & Article of Association /Partnership deed /Certificate of Registration of firm etc. SSI Certificate/ Letter of Intent /Industrial License, incase exporter want to registered as Manufacturer Exporter. Pay sum of Rs. 9826/- in form of DD/Pay Order/Cheque in favor of Apparel Export Promotion Council payable at place of submitting the application.
