5  You are going to analyze your meals for the amount of Calories and Nutrients it contains 5 Slides - You may add an Excel spread sheet into each page if you wish.  1 page for Calories – How many calories does each food item contain, and the overall total.  1 page for Fats – How many grams of total fat does each item contain, and overall total. What is the percent daily value for each item and what is the total percentage for the day.

6  1 Page for Minerals – How many milligrams (mg) of Sodium and Potassium does each item contain, and then the overall total for the plan. (If either is not mentioned = zero) What is the percent daily value for each item and what is the total percentage for the day.  1 page for Proteins – How many grams of total Protein does each item contain, and the overall total for the day. What is the percent daily value for each item and what is the total percentage for the day.  1 page for Vitamins – Is this food item a Good, Partial, or Poor source of vitamins. (In the last section you will discuss the total for the day.)

7  Slide 12 - On this slide you will compare your caloric needs for the day, to what the plan provides.  Are you over, under, or about right  State your goals. Does this plan meet your goals?  Slide 13 – Where you over, under, or about right for your daily nutrient needs for:  Fats?  Proteins?  Minerals? (Sodium & Potassium)

8  Slide 14 – How does this plan match up to your daily vitamin needs?  Are a few, many, most, or all of your vitamin needs met?  Explain your answer – Comment on any food items a that are helpful or not valuable.
