Activity – Percent benchmark- This activity allow students to use a 1 inch strip of paper to model percents. Fold a 1 inch strip of paper in half. One half of the strip represents 50%.

8. Conclusion The students learned how to change percents to decimals and decimals to percents. By modeling percents with the 1 inch strips the students enjoyed the activity.
