2.  Shouldn’t ignore the Bible since it claims to be the Word of God.  But many reject and ignore the Bible.  But I’m not interested in the opinion of the skeptic toward the Scriptures. 2

5.  Many treat the Bible like a cafeteria: Mk. 16:16; Jer. 36:23  Many claim to accept Jesus but reject the Bible: Matt. 19:4-5; 23:25  Noah and the flood? Matt. 24:36-39  Moses? Jn. 7:19; 5:46  Jonah? Matt. 12:38-41  Daniel? Matt. 24:15  The Old Testament?  Jesus accepted all of the Bible, not just part of it! Lk. 24:25-27, 44-46 5

6.  Bible is not simply a good story book: Psa. 119:9-16  What did Jesus teach about the authority of God’s Word?  Question of the Sabbath: Matt. 12:1-7  Question of Divorce: Matt. 19:1-5  Question of Eternal Life: Lk. 10:25-28  Question of the Resurrection: Matt. 22:23-33  Jesus taught God’s Word is authoritative!
