Desert LCC Collective Impact Collective impact: The commitment of a group of important actors from different sectors to a common agenda for solving a common problem.

Desert LCC Collective Impact Large-scale social change comes from better cross-sector coordination rather than from the isolated intervention of individual organizations.

Desert LCC Collective Impact Collective impact initiatives have: Centralized infrastructure, dedicated staff, structured process that leads to a common agenda and shared vision, shared measurement of success, continuous communication, and mutually reinforcing activities where each organization fulfills its niche.

Desert LCC Communications Desert LCC Communications The Desert LCC’s purpose and accomplishments deserve to be known and appreciated. It’s science needs to be applied and built upon. Each Desert LCC member and group has a communications role to play.

Desert LCC Communications Desert LCC Communications Defining the work of the Desert LCC is foundational to building a strong communications effort. Knowing who we are, why we do it, what we do and how we do it drives both our collective impact and our communications. The art of communication is more than what you say. It starts with how you define yourself and your purpose in relation to others.

Desert LCC Communications Desert LCC Communications Once an organization has a firmly established identity, its members, partners, and others the organization wants to influence begin to be more aware of its function and value. That in turn leads to a higher level of involvement, or engagement.

Desert LCC Communications Desert LCC Communications Members begin to see the potential progress that can be made with their additional contributions so they provide more support. At the highest level of support, members become full-fledged ambassadors for the organization, participating in its most strategic advocacy efforts.
