Dit is weer Mini Rugby tyd en ons het al klaar begin oefen! Ons eerste wedstryde is by Lydenburg 10 Mei en Nelspruit 17 Mei. Ons sien uit daarna om julle daar te sien!

2. Ons verjaarsdagmaatjies De Wet Prinsloo Matimba Mndawe At Bosvolkies we learn through play! Ons wil graag hierdie kwartaal afsluit met pajamadag die 28ste Maart. Learners will work and play the whole day in their pajamas. You may also send a blanket and a nice snack! Grade R reports will be sent home on 28 March! From the school’s side we would like to thank all parents for their participation in the Strategic planning session that was facilitated by Dr Jaco Deacon from Fedsas. It is still a disappointment that all our parents could not attend this very important meeting. We would also like to thank parents who went through the trouble to complete the questionnaires for this planning session. The session produced important conclusions: I would like to share the following information with parents regarding important projects over the last three years. 1.We opened our new computer room and introduced the Stimilus Maximus reading programme. 2.We implemented a new administrative program Saspac for the smooth running of admin, finances, discipline, reports, etc. 3.We installed 5 new interactive boards in some of our classes and the plan is to install another three this year. 4.At the end of last year we installed 8 new computers to give teachers access to internet and other important educational programmes. 5.We bought all the necessary educational equipment for the smooth running of our academic programme in all our classes. 6.We appoint an Occupational therapist to help the school with learners with special educational needs. 7.The whole school was painted and roof leaks were fixed. 8.The school hall was painted inside and outside; all electrical wiring was checked and new curtains were hung.

3. On the 8 th of March 2014, we had the annual chess tournament at our school. We had 202 players taking part. We used three classes as well as the hall to accommodate everyone. Our players did very well. André de Kock came 3 rd (4/5) and Braham v d Walt 4 th with the same points as Andre. We are happy to welcome our new players who joined the chess family. Our message to all chess players is patience and perseverance is the master of success in life. We had 25 players from our school. A big thank you to everybody from the office and the teachers for all the support. To Mrs Seymore and Jessica Maritz thank you for being around the whole day. 4. Athletics Baie dankie weer-ens aan die ouers wat so getrou kom help het met die verkope by die kosstalletjies by die Interhuis. Sonder julle hulp sou die atletiekseisoen nie so ‘n groot sukses gewees het nie. We would like to thank all our positive parents who really came out to assist our school with a greal deal of help at the athletics meetings Interlaer 2014: Ons atlete het ‘n lekker maar baie warm dag gehad. Atlete het hul bes gedoen en goed presteer. Ons is baie trots op julle. Baie dankie aan al die afrigters en onderwysers vir al jul hulp en ondersteuning. Baie geluk aan al ons atlete : ons atlete het 4 1ste plekke, 4 2de plekke en 10 3de plekke behaal! As julle vir Braham, Bronwen, Sonet, Juanita, Janine, Engela, Etienne en Neil op die speelgrond sien, sê vir hulle julle is trots op hulle en hulle is baie DAPPER!
