3 Warm up Work is a major part of our life,it’s great if we enjoy our work.Look at these question: What’s your profession? What wok do you do? What line of business are you in? What sorts of things do you do? What’s your job?

4 Activity 1 occupations Write the occupations in the appropriate box in the table. tailor receptionist engineer pharmacist dietitian clerk detective waiter headmaster secretary surgeon solicitor hairdresser accountant entrepreneur

5 Pair Work With a partner or in a small group, think of as many different occupations as possible and write them down on a piece of paper. Then rank in order the following occupations from the highest paid to the lowest paid; from the most prestigious to the prestigious; from the most difficult to the least difficult.

8 Group Work---Job Interview(1) Imagine that you’re the personnel manager in a large western restaurant. The manager of the dinning hall has just left and now you have to try and find a new one. The following four candidates have all been accepted for interview. 9 Group Work---Job Interview(2) –This can also be arranged as a group work. Four can pretend to be each of the candidate while four others can pretend to be employers hiring them. Each candidate can then be interviewed by each of the employers and at the end the employers can deicide which one is the most suitable for the job. Look the table.Look the table.
