Solve 2x + 7 = 4x – 3 (Hint: get x’s together first.) Write the decimal equivalents for 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, and 4/5. What is the pattern? Order from least to greatest: 2, √3, 9/4, 88% What number sets (Real, imaginary, Rational, irrational, Integer, Whole, Natural) does (-2) belong to?

Starting tomorrow most assignments will be problems in textbook. You need either text or pdf file of text available in class daily. Quickly locate and look through sections 1-1 and 2-1 in your book. These are the two sections we’ve been working on so far.
3
1. Questions from the weekend’s assignment? 2. Grading: one point per completed odd- numbered problem = 11 points 3. Grading: one point for correct answer on two selected problems = 2 more points 4. Grading: work/answer on one selected problem = 4 more points Write score as earned points over 17 like 13/17.

Example: R+3 < -2R + 9 R+3 < -2R + 9 Get R’s together by subtracting R 3 < -3R + 9 Subtract 9-6 < -3R Divide by -3 (direction changes when x or / by negative!) 2 > R or R < 2 Graph on number line (open circle for, closed circle for ≥ or ≤ ) Open circle at 2, line to left
5
Inequality worksheet – guided practice now Finish both sides for tomorrow. Use additional paper if needed.
6
Now try #7-12 (the rest of the worksheet) on your own. Due tomorrow!
