1.  Dear Industrious workers  Yesterday someone told me that I was busy as a bee. I was sitting at my computer which was as slow as a snail and I was acting as busy as a beaver. I was excited because my friend and I were as close as two peas in a pod. I wanted to go to the store to get something to eat because I was as hungry as a bear. Illustrate the simile on your desk. You will have two days to complete it. Please be colorful so I can hang them up in the classroom.

2. Good Morning, Active Students, Today we will begin a word wall of action words which are also called verbs. On your desk is a letter of the alphabet. Please write a verb on that card and bring it to Morning Meeting.

3. Let’s celebrate Wacky Wednesday. We have been working with verbs this week. I would like you to sketch a Wacky Verb Picture. Make sure that you write a sentence using the verb. An example could be: “The dog skipped to the doghouse to dance some bones.”

4. Dear Interviewers, Today we are going to learn more about each other. Imagine there are so many things that we still don’t know about each other even though we have been in school for such a long time!
