3 Single European Sky A States ability to exercise its obligations under the Chicago Convention should be protected; this is of major importance, with potential impact on sovereignty, national security and defence (primary military roles). There are considerable ATM challenges for 2008, especially those of the SES II package; the eventual outcome will be of crucial importance to, and may have a significant impact on, civil-military ATM. To avoid duplication of effort and to pragmatically address any future SES II requirements, the currently existing civil-military ATM working arrangements should be used wherever possible.

4 Recommendation The Provisional Council is invited to endorse the CMIC report.
