1. How I Learned about God from my Parents

2.  Children learn many things from their parents.  Some parents give their children bad examples, like smoking and bad behaviors.  Other good parents pass to their kids valuable heritage.  Thanks to God that my parents did many good things that I can learn from.

3.  I was born in Sudan, Africa.  The town is Al-Fashir. It is the capital of Darfur province in Western part of Sudan.  My parents lived there for few years before my birth, and 3 years after.

7.  In Al-Fashir at that time, there was no Church of any denomination.  The nearest church was about three days travel.

8.  My father bought Bibles and hymn books. He made benches for people to sit on.  He invited all the Christians in Al-Fashir to come every Sunday to our house to worship God.  There was no church building or a priest.  These meetings lasted till we left Al- Fashir.

9. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

10.  This reminds me with the churches in early years of Christianity.  Some of the believers used their homes for the meetings of the early churches.

11. 1 Corinthians 16:19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.

12. Colossians 4:15 Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.
