1 T HEREFORE, SINCE C HRIST SUFFERED IN THE FLESH, ARM YOURSELVES ALSO WITH THE SAME RESOLVE — BECAUSE THE O NE WHO SUFFERED IN THE FLESH HAS FINISHED WITH SIN — 2 IN ORDER TO LIVE THE REMAINING TIME IN THE FLESH, NO LONGER FOR HUMAN DESIRES, BUT FOR G OD ’ S WILL. 1 Peter 4:1-2

3 F OR THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN ENOUGH TIME SPENT IN DOING THE WILL OF THE PAGANS : CARRYING ON IN UNRESTRAINED BEHAVIOR, EVIL DESIRES, DRUNKENNESS, ORGIES, CAROUSING, AND LAWLESS IDOLATRY. 4 I N REGARD TO THIS, THEY ARE SURPRISED THAT YOU DON ’ T PLUNGE WITH THEM INTO THE SAME FLOOD OF DISSIPATION — AND THEY SLANDER YOU. 1 Peter 4:3-4

5 T HEY WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT TO THE O NE WHO STANDS READY TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD. 6 F OR THIS REASON THE GOSPEL WAS ALSO PREACHED TO [ THOSE WHO ARE NOW ] DEAD, SO THAT, ALTHOUGH THEY MIGHT BE JUDGED BY MEN IN THE FLESHLY REALM, THEY MIGHT LIVE BY G OD IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM. 1 Peter 4:5-6

7 N OW THE END OF ALL THINGS IS NEAR ; THEREFORE, BE CLEAR - HEADED AND DISCIPLINED FOR PRAYER. 8 A BOVE ALL, KEEP YOUR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER AT FULL STRENGTH, SINCE LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS. 9 B E HOSPITABLE TO ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT COMPLAINING. 1 Peter 4:7-9

10 B ASED ON THE GIFT THEY HAVE RECEIVED, EVERYONE SHOULD USE IT TO SERVE OTHERS, AS GOOD MANAGERS OF THE VARIED GRACE OF G OD. 1 Peter 4:10

U SE OF OUR TIME : L ET ’ S SAY YOU ATTEND EVERY SERVICE – THAT TOTALS 7.5 HOURS. Y OU SPEND ONE HOUR PER DAY WITH THE L ORD IN YOUR PRIVATE WORSHIP TIME = 7 HOURS. T HAT ADDS UP TO 14.5 HOURS ; THERE ARE 9.5 HOURS REMAINING THAT YOU SHOULD GIVE TO G OD.

T HEREFORE, BROTHERS, BY THE MERCIES OF G OD, I URGE YOU TO PRESENT YOUR BODIES AS A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY AND PLEASING TO G OD ; THIS IS YOUR SPIRITUAL WORSHIP. D O NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS AGE, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, SO THAT YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE GOOD, PLEASING, AND PERFECT WILL OF G OD. Romans 12:1-2
