2012 NSREC Finance Conference Chair, Ken Label, NASA GSFG Books (including bank account) are closed (3/22/13) Income (less loan): $563,784 Expenses (less loan): $498,085 Return: $65,699 –11.7% of expenses –The lower than expected return was due to effects of sequestration on planned government support, and on about 10% lower than expected attendance. Budget updated to account for federal budget sequestration issues Support from US Government agencies reduced from $52.5k to $17.5k Still have not receive the $17.5K Number of planned exhibitors has been reduced from 62 to 52 booths Reduced expected paid technical attendance from 490 to 420 as directed by the RESG RESG approved a ~14% increase in registration fees to help account for part of the loss in revenue

Budget updated to incorporate required changes and still provide the 15% return Original budget: Revenue (without loan): $683,695.00 Expenses (without loan): $594,495.00 Current budget (as of April 2013): Revenue (without loan): $587,185.00 Expenses (without loan): $508,481.00 Conference committee did an exceptional job adjusting the conference budget to account for the $100K loss in revenue

Status List of session chairs has been approved Short Course Title: Effects of Radiation environments on devices and test procedures –Speakers are being finalized Planned invited talks –History of Paris and France –Aerospace activities in Europe, from the Aeropostale to Arianespace –Napoleon Bonaparte, the French Campaign in Egypt and Syria Short Course CD ROM 1980-2014 will be distributed at conference Social programs still in planning stages

McClure, JPL Steven McClure (JPL) has accepted to join as Finance Co-chair Conference Budget was approved by IEEE Conference will have 2 bank accounts : a US account (in the IEEE Concentration Banking System) and an account in France Budget being updated to account for US federal budget sequestration issues –Reduce expected revenue from US government supports –Increase registration fees to approved 2013 fees converted to euros –Reduce expected exhibitors to from 45 to 40 –Increase booth registration fee to €3,000 –Reducing expected attendance numbers

2015, 2016, and 2017 NSRECs 2015 - Conference Chair, Mike Xapsos, NASA GSFC –July 13-17 –Marriott, Copley Place, Boston –Committee finalized –Preliminary budget to be presented at July RESG meeting 2016 - Conference Chair, Robert Reed, Vanderbilt –DoubleTree (and Portland Convention Center) in Portland, OR was approved as official site –Finalizing contracts with hotel and convention center 2017 –Véronique Ferlet-Cavrois, ESA/ESTEC, has been selected as Conference Chair
