Established in 1999, 13 in UK Funded by post 16 education funding councils through JISC for 3 years, initially ‘project’ funding Steering group from ‘core team’ of bid writers Hosted in university and colleges Regional support for FE and 6 th Form Colleges Mainly practitioner and technical support

Funded by the LSC and HEFCE through JISC, new funding to 2010 National remit and branding, strong quality processes, robust network of 13 centres Support Post-16 and HE: 65 + WBL strategy, infrastructure, curriculum, learning resources support Steering group representative of sectors supported
