Language Objective The participants will demonstrate their comprehension of different English Language Learner strategies by fully participating in each activity and choosing the most appropriate activities for their students.

Why Engagement? We ask our students to pay attention ALL the time. Students have to attempt to do this in an emotional and highly social environment.

The primary purpose of engaging students or participants is to mentally prepare them for the learning ahead. The objectives are to actively bring participants into the moment, to reduce the effect of any personal distractions, to reduce the anxiety of being in an unfamiliar setting, and to focus their brains.
