6. How to form a factor tree for 42
Write two factors for 42 on the first branch. 2 and 21
Because 21 is composite show the factors for 21 on the second branch 3 and 7
The tree is complete when all factors in a row are prime numbers. 2, 3 and 7 are prime numbers

7. Helpful Hints
Only use 1 and factor for first branch if number is prime.
Circle prime numbers red--so you know to stop
Circle composite number green--so you know to keep going.
