♦National Delta Tau Alpha newsletter ♦ March 2004♦ Meet your National President I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas with three younger brothers. I graduated high school in 1995 and joined the Marine Corps as a rifleman. I spent one year working with the Military Police and three with the infantry. I have been to Australia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Thailand. I began at Sam Houston State in the Fall of 2000 to study Animal Science, which has long been a desire of mine. I became very involved in the Beef Cattle and Swine show teams. I have served in various officer positions for Ag Council, Block & Bridle, Collegiate FFA, and DTA.I am also currently on Livestock Judging team. I will begin an internship with the Natural Resource Conservation Service this summer, with plans to work for them full time when I graduate in August 2005. It looks like North Carolina State has planned some great activities and I am really looking forward to a fun and productive National Convention. It has been an honor and a pleasure for me to serve as your National President and to work with a great National Council for the past year. Brian VanDelist National President Spring is here!
