3 The Society of Critical Care Medicine is devoted to propagating the concept of multidisciplinary practice and education among all clinicians and caregivers of the acutely ill patient regardless of the venue.

4 Rapid Response Systems SCCM Initiatives

5 Rapid Response Systems  SCCM aligned with the IHI, AMA, JCAHO, and the AAMC to promote the development of rapid response systems in hospitals.  SCCM established a task force on Medical Emergency Teams in 2005.  SCCM website for members to share information on national and international RRS.

6 Rapid Response Systems  1/10/06 MET Session with 4 speakers at the 35th SCCM Critical Care Congress in San Francisco.  9/21/06 SCCM Conference on Rapid Response Training for First Responders in Baltimore.  1/17/07 MET Postgraduate Course for Advanced Training at the 36th SCCM Critical Care Congress in Orlando. 
