3. Who is the best 3 rd grade teacher? An interrogative sentence is asking a question. It is when you want to know something. It ends with a question mark.

4. Please keep your classroom clean. An imperative sentence gives a command. It is when you want someone to do something. It usually ends with a period.

5. I’m so happy that you are in my class! An exclamatory sentence is filled with emotion. It is when you are excited (mad, sad, glad...) It ends with an exclamation point.
