The Abbasid Dynasty (750- 1258) Detail #3: Under the Abbasid’s the muslim shari’a took shape, with religious scholars called the ulama interpreting the Qu’ran and hadith to create Islamic law codes. Hint: page 152 Detail #4: The Abbasid’s generally were no more tolerant of Shi’ites than the Umayyads had been.
