8. Asymmetrical (1-Way) Performance Monitoring
Traffic, and especially mobile traffic, is asymmetrical.
More mobile data traffic goes out (downlink) than in (uplink).
Therefore, monitoring of KPIs / performance metrics with separation of uplink and downlink metrics is paramount.
If this would have beeen a RTT system ( not showing one way metrics) the “site B to A” fault would not have been visible.
